Ordinary members

  • Any medical practitioner fully registered under the Medical Registration Ordinance (Chapter 161), or any dentist registered under the Dentists Registration Ordinance (Chapter 156), employed to work by the Hospital Authority, the Government, The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong, the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is eligible to become an Ordinary Member.
  • Any medical practitioner registered with limited registration, special registration or provisional registration under the Medical Registration Ordinance (Chapter 161) is also eligible to become an Ordinary Member albeit without the right to stand for election as a Council Member or as an Office Bearer, or to be nominated to the MCHK for appointment as a Medical Assessor.
  • All Ordinary Members have the right to vote at General Meetings and Annual General Pollings.

Past members

Any member whose state of employment ceases to conform to the requirements stated in Ordinary member requirement shall cease to be an Ordinary member of the Association.

Termination of HKPDA membership

Any Ordinary member who wish to resign from the Association, and any past members who wish to be removed from our mailing list shall give the Secretary one month’s notice in writing his intention to do so.
